Where to Put Your Bags? The Best Bag Storage Ideas!
October 15, 2021Most of us own far more than just a handbag, and often more than just a work bag, business bag, or gym bag. While more and more bags are added, the question arises how to store them most easily? In the closet, there is usually already a lack of space and so it happens quickly that the bags are simply stuffed lovelessly into the last corner. But this way of storage is anything but recommendable. On the one hand, the handbags lose their shape in the long run, and on the other hand, the material can be damaged.
An extra bag shelf can already provide some relief, provided that you have the necessary space for it. If that's not the case, or you're generally looking for a more creative solution for your bags, you've come to the right place.
We'll show you some creative storage ideas for your bags!
Storing bags - with these tips
Women and their handbags - made of fabric or leather, big or small, practical or just beautiful... it's amazing how fast and how big the lady's bag collection can get! And even if you might not have a separate shoe and bag room like celebrity blogger Chiara Ferragni, you can still create a good space for all those shoppers, shoulder bags, clutches, and shoulder bags.
Tip 1: Hang bags on hooks - simplest bag storage
A very simple and practical solution. With a few plain metal hooks (available in any hardware store) you can hang as many bags as you want. You can hang the hooks anywhere in the apartment where they can hang well.
A particularly decorative solution: hang a simple wooden rod (round wood, also from the hardware store) on two ropes from the ceiling and integrate it as an eye-catcher or room divider in the apartment interior. In this way, your designer bags and unique leather items are shown off to their best advantage!
Simply take a few sturdy (wooden) hangers and hang the bags on them. You can hang the hangers on the coat rack, or also on clothes rails and/or in closets. This tip is especially good for everyday bags, such as shoulder bags or, shoulder bags that you need to have quickly at hand. By using the hangers you save a lot of space because one hanger can hang several bags.
Tip 2: Hang bags on a hanger

Tip 3: hang several hangers with bags under each other
Speaking of saving space, the next bag storage idea is great for particularly small apartments or when space is at a premium. You need the sturdy hangers again - hang your bags on them as described above. Then you hang the first hanger on the inside of the door, and on it, you directly attach the second hanger with bags. In this way, you can hang many bags in the smallest space and make good use of unused areas such as the back of the door. The only caveat: the first hanger (at the top) carries the total weight of all the bags - so it would be worth picking out a particularly sturdy one here (made of metal, for example).
Tip 4: store smaller bags in a larger bag
Not so extraordinary, but also effective bag storage. It would be a shame, of course, if particularly beautiful leather bags are packed away. But for the more practical models or even the bags that we no longer wear but can not sort out it is definitely a good tip. Simply take a large travel bag or sports bag, and stow the bags there. Then put the luggage under the bed - you have already saved a lot of space. By the way, suitcases are also a great place to store bags. The important thing here is to choose models made of softer materials that are not dimensionally stable. So you do not run the risk that something gets out of shape during storage.
Tip 5: Hang smaller bags on a bag
With the help of snap hooks, you can easily and space-savingly store several bags at the same time. The trick: bag models with metal rings at the connection point to the shoulder strap are particularly well suited for this.
